EMDEs = emerging markets and developing economies. Two/three-wheelers are excluded from the analysis. Low-nickel includes lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) 333, NMC442, and NMC532. Mid- and high-nickel includes NMC622, NMC721, NMC811, lithium nickel cobalt aluminium oxide (NCA), and lithium nickel manganese cobalt aluminium oxide (NMCA). Lithium iron phosphate also includes lithium iron manganese phosphate. Battery chemistry sales share is based on the battery capacity of new electric vehicles registered.
