PR Luxembourg New IEA report finds Luxembourg can build on its strengths to deliver on its energy and climate goals through regional integration, innovation and technology deployment Luxembourg is well positioned to strengthen energy security, reduce emissions and improve resilience thanks to its strong regional integration and highly digitalised energy system, according to a new report by the International Energy Agency. Support for decarbonising the economy
The Renovation Campaign offers national funding für households to insulate their buildings to reduce energy and replace fossil heating systems to decarbonise the room heating in Austria. With the financial package of the 2023-2025 budget in Austria about 224.000 projects had been registered with a funding budget of 3,65 billion Euro, more than 130.000 had been implemented until end of 2024. with the aim to support the decarbonisation of room heating in its economy until 2040. Renovation of multiapartment buildings
This policy is a compensation mechanism under the government's multi-apartment building renovation programme. It is aimed at reducing thermal energy consumption, encouraging rational use of energy resources ensuring efficient use of housing, and improving the living environment and quality of life for the population. It is planned to reduce heating consumption in multi-apartment and public buildings by 30-40% by 2020 and compared to 2011 to save heat from 2 to 3 TWh per year. District Heating Pool
The district heating pool was launched by the Danish Energy Agency as a subsidy scheme for district heating companies to support their expansion of the district heating network in new areas to replace heating with gas or oil boilers. The district heating pool was established as a climate measure in the Danish Climate Agreement of 2020. Since then, the district heating pool received several rounds of funding including the most recent Winter Package 2022. The pool is expected to re-open for applications on 23 January 2023.
