Covid-19 impact on electricity
…but steadily recovered as measures were gradually softened. In India, recovery seemed faster and stronger than in EU countries. The end of the year was marked by a recovery of electricity demand, now above 2019 levels after weather adjustment. Electricity demand dropped to Sunday levels under lockdown, with dramatic reductions in services and industry only partially offset by higher residential use. Norwegian gas arrives to the EU via a pipeline system and receiving terminals, or as LNG from the Hammerfest LNG plant.
