Power generation from coal declined 3%, and coal use in industry increased only slightly. Annual report 2019 Since the launch of the Clean Energy Transitions Programme (CETP) in November 2017, the IEA has significantly expanded its work to help accelerate energy transitions in major emerging economies. The CETP has played a critical role in both helping to build global momentum for clean energy transitions and in further strengthening the IEA family.
