Singapore-IEA Regional Training Programme on Low Carbon Buildings

In partnership with the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, the IEA will host a virtual Southeast Asia Regional Training Programme on Low-Carbon Buildings. This training event will bring together policy makers, academics, architects and engineers, buildings designers and owners, utilities, housing associations and the construction industry across Southeast Asia to establish the path towards a low-emission, efficient and resilient buildings and construction sector by 2050.

The training will offer a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, and practical exercises that will allow participants to exchange experiences and learn from international best practices. Following the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction’s methodology for the development of building sector Roadmaps, the sessions will explore:

1. Energy efficient, clean and zero-carbon buildings by design. This module will cover efficient and passive design approaches and the use of low-carbon materials.
2. Smart and energy efficient building systems and operations. This module will cover advanced, high-performance energy systems and smart digital systems, including digital monitoring and smart analytics, that can enable more energy efficient operations.
