About the event

The International Energy Agency in association with the World Energy Council India presents an energy Data and Policy Training.

The objective of this training program is to understand the role and importance of data to strengthen energy policy formulation, planning and implementation. The training program will be attended by nominated officials from energy ministries, agencies and PSUs. The training will cover a wide range of topics including energy balances, short- and long-term outlooks, supply and demand data perspectives, energy data roadmap and collaboration with India. The program is designed to bring together IEA and Indian experts with deep expertise and experience on developing energy balances and outlooks to share practices on energy data collection, management and dissemination, that can strengthen policy planning and decision-making in India’s energy sector.

The training program will be delivered in-person by IEA experts responsible for data collection and analysis and producing IEA flagship reports such as the World Energy Outlook. We will also have Indian officials share their experiences on the importance of data for good policy making.
