Notes

Transport fuel dependence is calculated as total net imports of oil products (gasoline, diesel and jet fuel), net imports of crude for domestically refined oil products, and net imports of biofuels (ethanol, biodiesel, renewable diesel and biojet) divided by the total final consumption of biofuels. The counterfactual scenario assumes that all biofuel consumption in a given year is directly replaced with imported oil products.
