SHS includes systems of 10 Wp and above. Pico SHS including systems up to 10 Wp do not meet IEA's definition of electricity access. New solar home system connections from 2019 to 2024 are based on IEA analysis of GOGLA market data. The IEA accounts for a replacement rate to exclude systems sold as substitutes for existing units. The 2025 figure reflects IEA estimates only.
