                Bill for the Act on Promotion of Supply and Utilization of Low-Carbon Hydrogen and its Derivatives for Smooth Transition to a Decarbonized, Growth-Oriented Economic Structure

                The bill includes measures such as formulating basic policies, approving business plans, providing support for price gaps, developing hydrogen hubs, and granting regulatory exemptions. The goal is to promote green transformation in hard-to-abate industries like iron and steel, chemicals, mobility, and power generation

                Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap

                …one of the key levers to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Targets include the phase-out of fossil-based hydrogen, 3.3 Mtpa of renewable hydrogen, and 3 hubs by 2050. The roadmap aims at positioning Malaysia as a leading Hydrogen Economy Country by 2050. This initiative is based on five main factors:
                -Increasing revenue and productivity in exports, mobility, power generation, industrial heating and non-energy;
                -Promoting green growth aspirations in transportation sector;
                -Cementing Malaysia’s position as the key hydrogen player in Asia Pacific;
                -Creating job opportunities from the hydrogen economy; and

                Renewable Energy Directive - National transposition for industry

                …and instead Germany will aim to achieve the binding targets through a combination of subsidy measures targeting the demand side. These could include CCfD, the H2Global and direct subsidies for steel producers (all of which were already in place by the time of this announcement). There is a range of estimates of 0.6-0.9 Mtpa of RFNBO supply needed to satisfy the industry target (see references). Germany said it will recognise the refinery route. It has not signalled plans for a separate multiplier or "correction factor" to lower the value compared with direct use of RFNBOs in mobility

                The Austrian RTI Pact for 2024-2026 (second edition of the Pact) operationalizes the RTI Strategy 2030 and defines strategic research and innovation policy priorities to achieve its energy goals. In accordance with Austrian Research Funding Act, the RTI Pact represents the link between the RTI Strategy, funding and implementing organisations with a total budget of around USD 5.3 billion. The strategy indentify energy and mobility as national area of strength and future topics of increasing importance, and include the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology in its task force.

                The Framework Operation provides structurally subordinated Framework Loans to EU-based small and medium-sized private sponsors and players (SMEs) from the energy sector. Each Sub-Project is in the form of a Framework Loans to an EU-based Developer operating in sectors contributing to Paris Agreement's objectives (e.g. renewable energy, energy efficiency and green mobility). The Developer of each SubProject Framework Loans utilises the proceeds to invest in new small and medium sized energy projects with a Climate Action impact. This is a 2022 Invest EU operation, EUR 300 million.
