        Connecting Europe Facility – Digital

        The Connecting Europe Facility is an fund dedicated to key projects in transport, digital, and energy. It will run from 2021 to 2027 with a budget of 33.71 billion EUR. The programme will promote a shift from a patchwork of national networks to a truly interconnected one. It will support development and modernisation of railway, road, inland waterway, and maritime infrastructure. Additionally, it aims to contribute to further integration of the European energy market by improving the interoperability of energy networks across borders and sectors, facilitating decarbonisation and ensuring security of supply.

        The 2nd pillar of the Czech National Recovery Plan concerns physical infrastructures and green transition. The 1st submeasure concerns "Sustainable and safe transports". It consists of:

        Excise Tax Reduction for Hybrid Cars

        Excise duties are set depending on the engine type, the cylindrical capacity, and the year of its manufacture. Hybrid plug-in cars are exempted from 50% of the excise duty, hybrid type 25% and electric cars 100%.
        The Fiscal Code establishes the method of calculating and paying the road tax by vehicles registered in the Republic of Moldova, which is calculated taking into account the technical characteristics of the vehicle (cylinder capacity, number of seats), specified in the registration certificate. Respectively, electric cars are exempt from paying this tax.
