Despite recent economic headwinds that have put pressure on the auto sector, global sales of electric cars have continued to break records as electric models become increasingly affordable. Electric car sales exceeded 17 million globally in 2024, reaching a sales share of more than 20%. Law on ensuring coal access and price stabilisation
…aims at increasing the coal supply in the country and thus induce price reductions. It defines a guaranteed price for coal and compensation for authorized intermediaries. The price is set at PLN 996.60 gross per 3 tonnes of coal per household. Compensation for authorized brokers will amount to PLN 1 073 / tonne. Entities that decide to cooperate in the program will be required to register, which is expected to guarantee that coal will be transferred to individual recipients at the price indicated in the law.In addition, households have the opportunity to apply for a coal affordability support allowance.

Mauritania
In 2019, Mauritania’s energy mix was dominated by oil products (65%) and biofuels and waste (32%). In 2020, 43% of the population had access to clean cooking which is the highest share in West Africa. In 2020, 47% of the population had access to electricity. For electricity access, the country targets universal access in urban areas and doubling of the current rate in rural areas by 2024, with country-wide universal access by 2030. For clean cooking, the target is 100% access to LPG in urban areas and 50% access to LPG in rural areas by 2030.
