The Development Plan is prepared by the state under the Presidential Government System and approved by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey every four years. The Plan serves as a basic roadmap for the long-term development of the country toward meeting its fundamental values and expectations, raising its position in international rankings and improving the welfare level of its people. The overarching objective for the mining sector under the plan is to ensure the security of raw material supply and to improve the contribution of the mines to the national economy by increasing their efficiency and value. Renewable Energy Development Law 13.09

The 44 articles of the law establish core regulation mechanisms for the production and commercialisation of renewable energies. The law sets up a renewable energy deployment roadmap and renews the electricity auto-production framework.Renewable Energy Targets:The law includes specific targets for the second phase (2009-2012) of the National Plan for the Development of Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (PNDEREE 2006-2012). Renewable energies to date represent 4% of the Moroccan energy mix (without biomass) and produce 10% of the total electricity demand. The PNDEREE seeks to increase these shares from 4% to 10% and from 10% to…

                "You Collect, We Buy" Scheme

In a statement made at COP28 in Dubai, the President of the European Commission announced the development of a roadmap for the global rollout of the "You Collect, We Buy" scheme in advance of COP29. This initiative, which is currently being piloted bilaterally with Algeria, incentivises companies outside of the EU to capture and commercialise methane that would otherwise be emitted into the atmosphere through venting or flaring. Under the scheme, the EU offers political and financial support, along with technical assistance for companies to undertake the technology upgrades needed for methane capture and utilisation.

As part of the Vision 2030 roadmap to diversity the national economy, NEOM’s focus will be on energy transition, water protection, biotechnology, food, advanced manufacturing and renewable energies. The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund has invested $500 billion into NEOM’s city, the Line, which will be carbon neutral due to the absence of cars and roads. The goal of this new city is to run on 100% renewable energy and preserve 95% of the natural land…

                Kenya’s progress on electricity access

Kenya has seen rapid growth in electricity access, from 20% in 2013 to nearly 85% in 2019. This significant progress rests on the country’s National Electrification Strategy, which provides a roadmap to achieving universal energy access by 2022. The Strategy uses a complementary approach, including both the expansion of grid infrastructure and decentralised solutions such as off-grid solar home systems and mini-grids. Given the cost of expanding the power grid, many communities in Kenya are “under-grid”, i.e. they are close to the grid but are not connected. In these locations, solar home systems are often…

…was launched on 1 December 2008. The Framework is working to accelerate the development of geothermal energy in Australia. The Framework is a comprehensive approach to industry development and incorporates a geothermal energy technology roadmap which was produced for the Council of Australian Governments (COAG). The vision presented for geothermal energy is "to make a substantial contribution to Australias long term energy supply and reduce national greenhouse gas emissions by developing a sustainable, safe, and secure, socially and environmentally responsible geothermal energy industry".
