Building Energy Efficiency Certification
The program assesses and certifies energy efficiency of buildings in terms of energy consumption and CO2 emission in order to improve energy efficiency. Korea Energy Agency estimates CO2 emission and energy consumption for heating, cooling and hot water supply of a buildings based on their design documents and issue certification ranging from level 7 to level 1 +++ (total 10 levels). The program is applicable to existing buildings and new buildings for all purposes including individual housings, apartments and dormitory buildings, buildings with cooling or heating areas greater than 500 m2, and office buildings.

Asia-Pacific Partnership for Clean Development and Climate
The Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (APP) brings together Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, South Korea and the United States to address the challenges of climate change, energy security and air pollution in a way that encourages economic development and reduces poverty. The APP represents around half of the world's emissions, energy use, GDP and population, and is an important initiative that engages, for the first time, the key greenhouse gas emitting countries in the Asia Pacific region. With its focus on the development, deployment and transfer of cleaner, more efficient technologies, the APP is also…

Ten-Year Energy Technology Development Plan
The main goal of our Ten-Year Energy Technology Development Plan is to reduce greenhouse gas emission while stimulating the growth of eco-friendly environment. To accomplish this goal, Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) have proposed Green Energy Strategy Roadmap in 2011 to set specific guidelines for major 15 technical fields. The Roadmap supports energy industry and facilitates establishment of new businesses. The selected fifteen technical groups are: PV, green car, nuclear power, wind power, bio fuel, IGCC, clean fuel, CCS, clean-thermal power, smart-grid, energy storage, energy saving building, high-efficient new-light source…

Tyre Efficiency Standards and Ratings
The program helps consumers to purchase energy efficient Tyres and induce competition in the Tyre manufacturing industry to produce highly efficient products in order to help saving transportation energy.
Korea Energy Agency (KEA) standardizes Tyre efficiency test method, develop criteria for Tyre efficiency rating, follow up with the implementation of the program and disclose Tyre related information for consumers.
Products subject to the program are imported or domestically manufactured automobile Tyres that are sold in the domestic market.

High-efficiency Appliance Certification
The High efficiency equipment certification programme certifies equipment as being high efficiency. The programme is a voluntary scheme operated by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Korea Energy management Corporation (KEMCO). Certified products may bear the "High-efficiency Equipment Label" after acquiring high-efficiency equipment certificates issued by KEMCO. Manufacturers seeking certification must submit an application and appropriate documents, including a performance testing report undertaken by a designated testing facility, to KEMCO.
The objective of the program is to promote certified facilities and equipment and create relevant markets. The program also aims to maximize energy conservation by raising technological… -

Onshore Wind Power Activation Strategy
The Onshore Wind Power Activation Strategy addresses permitting, siting and cost barriers that have constrained onshore wind deployment in Korea. It sets 2030 targets of 6 GW of cumulative onshore wind capacity, generation costs below KRW 150/kWh and supply of more than 300 domestically produced turbines. The government launched a cross-ministerial task force involving energy, defence, forestry, weather and local-government authorities to resolve permitting bottlenecks. The strategy combines regulatory coordination, project pipeline support, cost reduction and domestic turbine deployment to make onshore wind a more reliable resource for future power supply.
