                Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA)

                The Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) entered into force in December 2008. It provides for the gradual elimination of border tariffs for most energy products, including : iron, metals, steel, battery packs and cells, anodes, heat pumps, electric cars, and ICE cars. Specific rule of origins delineated in the Agreement provide that in order to qualify for preferential tariff treatment, goods must be wholly produced in one of the Parties' territories, or have undergone there a significant production process (entailing a change in tariff classification), or satisfy a 40% minimum local value content requirement.

                Japan-Peru Economic Partnership Agreement

                The Japan-Peru Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) entered into force in March 2012. The Agreement provides for the reduction or elimination of import tariff for most energy sector products, including iron, metals, steel, battery packs and cells, anodes, heat pumps, electric cars, and ICE cars. Specific rules of origins apply: in order to qualify for preferential tariff treatment, products need to be wholly obtained on one of the Parties' territories, have undergone a significant production process there or satisfying a 35% minimum local value content requirement.

                Free Trade Agreement - Peru and Mexico

                Peru-Mexico Free Trade Agreement entered into force in 2012. It provides for the gradual elimination of import tariffs for most industrial and energy sector products, including: - Agglomerated and reduced iron- Alumina- Scrap metal- Ammonia - Crude steel - Aluminium - Nitrogen fertilisers - Solar PV Modules- Solar Cells- Solar Wafers- Polysilicon- Battery packs and battery cells- Electrolysers - Heat pumps - Electric cars - ICE cars Rules of origin delineated in the Agreement state that goods wholly obtained or produced in one of the Parties' territory, or having undergone there a significant production process, or meeting specific regional value requirements, can benedit from preferential tariff treatment.

                Free Trade Agreement - Mexico and Uruguay

                …entered into force as the Economic Complementation Agreement ACE No 60 on July 15 2004. It provides for the reduction or elimination of import duties for many energy products , including : - Agglomerated and reduced iron- Alumina- Scrap metal- Ammonia - Crude steel - Aluminium - Nitrogen fertilisers - Solar PV Modules and Solar Cells- Solar Wafers- Polysilicon- Battery packs and battery cells- Electrolysers - Heat pumps Rules of origin delineated in the Agreement state that goods may benefit from preferential tariff treatment if wholly obtained, produced or having undergone a significant production process on the territory of one of the Parties, or if they meet regional content requirements.

It provides for the elimination of border tariffs for most energy products, including: - Agglomerated and reduced iron- Alumina- Scrap metal- Ammonia - Crude steel - Aluminium - Nitrogen fertilisers - Solar PV Modules- Solar Cells and Solar Wafers- Polysilicon- Battery packs and battery cells- Electrolysers - Heat pumps - Electric cars and ICE cars Rules of origin delineated in the Agreement dictate that goods may benefit from preferential tariff treatment if:wholly produced, obtained or having undergone a significant production process in one one of the signatory countries the total value of incorporated non-originating material remains below 50 percent of the regional value of the product.

                Chinese Taipei-Paraguay Economic Cooperation Agreement

                The Chinese Taipei-Paraguay Economic Cooperation Agreement entered into force in 2018. Under the Agreement, Paraguay offers preferential tariff for iron & steel, automotive parts and pumps.Rule of origins delineated in the Agreement state that in order to qualify for the preferential tariff treatment, good should be wholly obtained, produced or have undergone sufficient production in the territory of the signatories, or satisfy a minimum local value content of 55%.

                Chinese Taipei- Guatemala Free Trade Agreement

                The Free Trade Agreement between Chinese Taipei and Guatamala entered into force in 2006. It provides for preferential border tariffs for most products traded between them, including iron and steel, minerals, hydrocarbons, machinery, reactors, semiconductor, and automotive parts.Rule of origins delineated in the Agreement state that to qualify for the preferential tariff treatment, good should be wholly obtained or have undergone a sufficient production process in the territory of the signatories, or satisfy a 35-50%minimum local value content requirement.

                The Japan-Viet Nam Economic Partnership Agreement (JVEPA) entered into force on October 2009. It eliminates borders tariffs for most goods traded between both countries, including : iron, metals, steel, battery packs and cells, anodes, heat pumps, electric cars, and ICE cars. Specific rule of origins delineated in the Agreement state that in order to qualify for preferential tariff treatment, good should be wholly produced, or have undergone a significant production process in one of the signatory countries, or satisfy a 40% minimum local value content requirement.
