Catholic Pastor Marselus Hasan from Reno village, Flores initiated a micro-hydro power project in his village after seeing how the villagers suffered from unreliable electricity due to the daily maintenance required to repair generators. Contributions from villagers to cover some construction costs amounted to 2 million rupiah (EUR 120) per family, supplemented by funding from the United Nations Development Programme and Bank NTT, as well as a loans from a local cooperative. Indonesia geothermal auctions 2016
Indonesia has excellent geothermal resource availability – estimated 29 GW of which only around 4.5% was exploited as of 2015. In order to increase country’s renewable energy share in the energy mix and exploit its geothermal potential, the Ministry for Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia opened technology-specific auctions.

Indonesian Bus Rapid Transit Corridor Development Project (INDOBUS)
INDOBUS aims to assist five municipalities in developing bus corridors as a backbone for sustainable urban mobility systems, through a combination of technical assistance and capacity-building. This programme is supported by Germany’s GIZ, the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Indonesia for 5 pilot cities (Pekanbaru, Batam, Bandung, Semarang and Makassar). The budget allocated to these pilots is estimated to be USD 21 million over the 2017-2022 period.

Mozambique - Indonesia Preferential Trade Agreement
The Mozambique - Indonesia Free Trade Agreement aims to foster economic and trade relations between the two countries by eliminating tariffs and other trade barriers. The EFTA - Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement aims to foster economic and trade relations between the two countries by eliminating tariffs and other trade barriers. The Chile-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership (CEPA) entered into force on August 10, 2019. It provides for the reduction or elimination of border tariffs and non-tariff measures , including for the following energy sector products:-minerals products and metals, notably steel, iron, copper, nickel, aluminium, zinc, -fertilisers-nuclears reactors and related parts-electrical equipmentsRules of origins determining preferential tariff treatment require goods to be wholly obtained or produced in the territory of each country, exclusively from originating materials or from non-originating materials provided under a change in tariff classification or a specific manufacturing or processing operation.

LPG subsidy reform in Indonesia
The Indonesian government started to design a new LPG subsidy scheme in 2016, to target the subsidy specifically for poor households, small businesses, fishers and farmers. To achieve this, the Parliament proposed a solution to use the unified poverty database of Indonesia for social protection programmes, to better identify subsidy targets; such a methodology was previously implemented for electricity subsidy reforms. The main objective was to provide subsidies to only 40% of the poorest households and small businesses owned and run by these households.
