                E-TRANS energy saving programme

                Following on from the calls for projects on the Heavy Electric Vehicle Ecosystems, an E-TRANS energy-saving program operated by ADEME has been implemented for 2024. This program aims to provide financial support to professional road transport stakeholders and local authorities to electrify their heavy vehicle fleets, through financial assistance for the purchase, long-term leasing, or retrofitting of battery-electric heavy goods vehicles, buses, coaches, and urban shuttles. This program, with a budget of €130 million for 2024, will support the acquisition of at least 2,100 heavy goods vehicles, including at least 85% heavy goods vehicles, through…

                National Action Plan for Clean Technology (NAP CM)

                The National Action Plan for Clean Technology (NAP CM) focuses on the development of alternative fuels infrastructure, the modernisation of the road transport fleet and the decarbonisation of transport. The goals and plans set are divided into milestones for 2025, 2030 and 2035.This is an actualization of the first version approved in 2015 and updated in 2019.

                Coalition Agreement - Railway investment and maintenance programme

                The Coalition Agreement makes additional resources available for the operation, maintenance and renewal of the national infrastructure. The additional contribution shall gradually increase to an additional €1.125 billion annually from 2026 and a structural €1.25 billion from 2038 for the maintenance of our roads, railways, bridges, viaducts and waterways, also with a view to road safety

                Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Investment Plan

                The government aims at deploying 32,000 public charging units by 2030 to match its targets of 2 million electric cars and 13 million electric two-wheeled vehicles on the road by the same date. The national power distribution company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara is in charge of this deployment.

                Clean Technology Tax Credit

                The Clean Technology investment tax credit is a refundable 30% tax credit available to businesses for eligible investments in certain clean electricity generation, stationary electricity storage, low-carbon heating and non-road zero-emission vehicles and related charging and refuelling infrastructure, and geothermal energy systems. The credit is available for investments in eligible property that is acquired and that becomes available for use on or after March 28, 2023.                 The Operational Programme Transport 2021-2027 (OPD3) shall allocate a budget of EUR 4.9 billion from the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund for the development of rail and road networks.                 Economic Recovery and Resilience "New Generation Lithuania" / Green Transformation / Clean Transport

                The Clean Transport measure of the Green Transformation part of the National Resilience and Recovery Plan aims to reduce GHG emissions by phasing out polluting road vehicles and increasing renewables share of energy resources in the transport sector.  Lithuania will invest 832.1 million EUR with EU funds to implement its Green Transition, with an additional 169.2 million EUR from alternative EU finance instruments, 257.44 million EUR from private legal entities and 45.26 million EUR from its national budget.
