Winter Energy Conservation Initiative
The Federal Council launched on August 2022 the Winter Energy Conservation Initiative. It includes the "Stop Waste" energy saving campaign and the Alliance for Energy Conservation. The initiative promotes energy saving measures through behavioural changes to save energy and to prevent a shortage. For 2022, a budget of CHF 14 million was allocated to the Winter Energy Saving Initiative. On December 2022, the Federal Council decided to continue the Winter Energy Conservation Initiative during the winter of 2023-2024. In March 2023, the Federal Council decided an additional CHF 7 million for the continuation of this initiative.
