                Energy Conservation (Government Regulation No. 70/2009)

                …for the stakeholders to implement energy efficiency and conservation in Indonesia.This Regulation also stipulates the obligation for producers or importers of energy appliances to implement energy efficiency labelling.The Regulation also seeks to develop and implement a series of incentives for improved energy management. These include tax exemption and fiscal incentives on imports of energy saving equipment and appliances, and special low interest rates on investments in energy conservation. To reduce non-compliance, the regulation seeks to provide disincentives. These include written notices to comply, public announcements of non-compliance, fines and reductions of energy supply.The Regulation allows…

                Winter Energy Conservation Initiative

                The Federal Council launched on August 2022 the Winter Energy Conservation Initiative. It includes the "Stop Waste" energy saving campaign and the Alliance for Energy Conservation. The initiative promotes energy saving measures through behavioural changes to save energy and to prevent a shortage. For 2022, a budget of CHF 14 million was allocated to the Winter Energy Saving Initiative. On December 2022, the Federal Council decided to continue the Winter Energy Conservation Initiative during the winter of 2023-2024. In March 2023, the Federal Council decided an additional CHF 7 million for the continuation of this initiative.

                Guideline for Energy Efficiency Credit

                …strategies.

                The Guidelines encourage commercial banks to expand their energy efficiency lending activities, in particular to fund energy saving projects in energy-intensive industries, energy service companies, and projects that have been put forward as a result of energy audits.

                The energy efficiency projects prioritized by the Guidelines cover all end-use areas:

                Industry: including steel industry, petrochemicals, construction materials, paper and pulp, textiles, food and beverages as well as lighting;
                Buildings: including existing and new residential buildings, public buildings, with a focus on measures to improve energy efficiency in central heating systems, cooling equipment and system, renewable energy application…

                Subsidy scheme Reduction Energy Use

                Through the RRE scheme, municipalities may launch projects to stimulate house owners to implement small energy saving measures e.g. for improving heating installations/isolation (control, radiator folium, isolation, etc.). Muncipalities may also use RRE for providing advice to owners on other energy saving measures e.g. roof-, window- or facadeisolation.
