BPI France Innovation for SMEs - support for R&D
Established in 2005, OSEO is a French public organisation that funds and advises small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Part of OSEOs activities involves supporting innovation in SMEs, and since 2008, in larger enterprises meeting similar barriers to innovation as SMEs. OSEO Innovation offers a combination of grants and zero-interest advances to SMEs and larger enterprises for research, development, innovation and deployment activities, with the latter accounting for the majority of financial support. Luxembourg has a fossil fuel intensive energy mix driven by a high demand for transportation fuels, notably from transiting freight trucks and commuters. Resources for France Plan
…does highlight the need for a European initiative on social and environmental criteria for mining, in order to preserve industrial competitiveness. This five-year plan contributes to policy-support of the circular economy. It considers not only the economic and security ramifications of critical minerals, but also their social and environmental impacts. This approach is concurrently developed at the national and regional scale: some objectives detailed in the Resources for France plan are also present in the 2020 Circular economy action plan adopted by the European Commission. Notably, regulation of batteries and their minerals was proposed on 10 December 2020.
