Emergency Decree of the Remedy and Prevention of Shortage of Fuel OIls (B.E. 2516)

The Emergency Decree enforced in 1973 gives the Prime Minister the right to direct companies to prevent all types of fuel shortages.
While the Emergency Decree specifically provided powers to address fuel shortages during times of crisis, the Fuel Trade Act, B.E. 2543 introduced broader regulations governing the fuel trade and market stability in Thailand.

Sustainable Transport Policy for Armenia: A Roadmap Accelerating sustainable transportAccelerating sustainable transport

Amid a rapidly changing energy landscape and mounting environmental pressures, Armenia faces both an urgent challenge and an opportunity to reshape its transport system. As it seeks to balance the twin goals of enhanced energy security and reduced dependence on imported fossil fuels, Armenia has made the transition to sustainable transport a top priority. This chapter lays out a forward-looking framework designed to accelerate Armenia’s shift to an efficient, low-carbon and resilient transport system. Drawing on international best practices, the recommendations focus on three interconnected priorities: electrifying the road transport fleet, boosting overall transport system efficiency and…

                Renewables 2022 Renewable electricityRenewable electricity

Forecast summary The global energy crisis is pushing the accelerator on renewable energy expansion Global renewable capacity is expected to increase by almost 2 400 GW (almost 75%) between 2022 and 2027 in the IEA main-case forecast, equal to the entire installed power capacity of the People’s Republic of China (hereafter “China”). Renewables growth is propelled by more ambitious expansion policies in key markets, partly in response to the current energy crisis. This 85% acceleration on the last five years’ expansion rate results primarily from two factors. First, high fossil fuel and electricity prices resulting from the global energy…
