Extending the VAT relief available for the installation of energy saving materials (ESMs)
To help households improve energy efficiency and keep energy costs down – as well as supporting the country's long-term Net Zero ambitions – the UK government is extending the VAT relief available for the installation of energy saving materials (ESMs), from April 2022. Management Method for Certification of Energy-saving Products

Environmental Protection Act, Recognised list of energy saving measures (EML)
As a result of the Agreement on Energy for sustainable growth a set of Recognised Lists of Measures (in Dutch, EML Erkende Maatregelenlijst) has been added to the Activities Decree under the Environmantal Protection Act. This should further enhance identification of energy saving measures by companies that have a pay back time of less than 5 years. The parties to the energy agreement have facilitated this identification of measures with such lists described per sector.
In 2015 the first batch of Recognised Lists of Measures was published, followed by others later on. -

Business Pool subsidies covering 50% of the cost of an energy-saving project
The Business Pool administered by the Danish Energy Agency provides subsidies to companies in Denmark to help finance energy and carbon dioxide saving projects. The grant covers up to 50% of the cost of an eligible project. Examples of projects that can receive grants include the replacement of boilers with heat pumps or district heating, the establishment of heat recovery systems, and replacement of lighting by LED. The application procedure was simplified as of November 2022.

Grant Scheme to Encourage the Use of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving in Homes (2024-2025)
Cyprus introduced a 2024-2025 grant scheme providing financial support for households to install renewable energy systems (notably solar PV) and implement energy efficiency upgrades. The programme targets energy affordability and energy poverty, offering subsidies of up to 75% for vulnerable households for measures such as insulation and rooftop solar. It forms part of a broader national funding envelope exceeding €500 million for energy transition and efficiency measures.

Notice on vehicle and vessel tax reduction for energy saving and new energy automobiles
On 1st January 2012 the Chinese Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology notified that they will halve vehicle and vessel taxes on the energy saving vehicles and that new energy saving vehicles (including battery electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles) are exempted from vehicle and vessel tax entirely and released a list of eligible vehicle models. The policy and the list of eligible vehicle models has since been renewed and updated, including in particular in 2018 and 2022 with further specification and stringency on vehicle eligibility.

This Resolution prescribes the procedures for granting subsidies from the federal budget to regional programs in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency.The level of co-financing of expenditure obligations for the program at the expense of the federal budget is 5 - 95 per cent of expenditure commitments under the program.
