Value Added Tax (modification) Order
The Value Added Tax (Modification) Order 2024 expanded Nigeria’s list of VAT-exempt goods and services to support energy transition technologies. The order exempts electric vehicles, CNG and LPG vehicles, conversion kits, and components for renewable energy technologies such as solar PV and batteries from VAT. The measure aims to reduce the cost of clean energy equipment and alternative-fuel vehicles.
