The programme (KAWKA) was intended to reduce the exposure of the population to the effects of air pollutants in zones where pollution limits have been exceeded.
KAWKA supported the implementation of the EU Directive 2008/50/WE of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe. It ran from 28th February 2013 till 31st December 2018.
Beneficiaries received a financial incentive of up to 45% of the total investment in the form of a grant.
