Building GHG & Energy Target Management Scheme
The government and companies work together to set and achieve the GHG emission and energy consumption target in order to achieve the national target of 30% reduction compared to 2020 BAU. In 2014, 34 companies were designated as building target management entities and KEA provided supports such as the establishment of GHG inventory, and writing the Action Plan.

UK National Allocation Plan 2005 - 2007
In July 2004, the UK government published its national allocation plan (NAP) for carbon dioxide emissions under the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. The NAP allocated 736Mt of carbon dioxide to installations covered by the scheme over the 2005-07 period. The allowances were allocated for free to the 1,080 installations covered by the scheme. The allocation amounts to a reduction of 5.5Mt of carbon dioxide. New entrants will have access to allowances from a pool of 7.7% of the total allowances. …of 2026, the market will set the price, within a fixed band. The total quantity of certificates issued throughout Germany will be in line with the imperatives of German and European climate targets. Subsidies will be implemented to support a greater usage of energy efficiency, build more sustainable housing and replace outdated and polluting heating systems, and support more eco-friendly transport measures. In the transport sector, the government will also discourage the usage of carbon-heavy transport means, such as short-flights, which will include a higher VAT for flights and a lower VAT for long-distance train tickets.

In 2023, Canada created a Low Carbon Fuel Procurement Program to buy 200 million litres of lowcarbon fuels for the federal aviation and marine fleets. In 2024, the programme’s budget was expanded from around USD 92 million over 8 years by adding around USD 7 million for the procurement of CDR credits.

Solar Thermal Technology Platform
On 30 May 2006, the European Commission announced the launch of the European Solar Thermal Technology Platform, an initiative of the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation to facilitate the development of future research and development in solar thermal power generation. The European Solar Thermal Industry Federation is the umbrella of national solar thermal associations and includes over 700 members Europe-wide. Domestic Emissions Trading Pilot Scheme for Korean Industries and Power Sector
This pilot scheme aims to provide Korean industries and power sectors with opportunities to accumulate experiences in emissions trading before the start of Korean emissions trading scheme in 2015. The scheme participants perform simulation trading using cyber money instead of cash via a web-based online trading platform. Also, by linking with GHG Emissions Target Management Scheme's MRV system, the pilot scheme evaluates the compliance status of each participant.

EUR 380 million were earmarked to demonstrate offshore hydrogen production from wind. First tender for 30-50 MW of electrolysis with COD of 2030. Tender to be launched in Q1 2025. A future tender for a second demo project (with an additional budget) of 500 MW to be developed by 2033.
