National Energy Compact
The government of Tanzania aims to increase electricity connectivity to 75 percent by 2030 and clean cooking access to 80 percent by 2034. It also aims to increase the share of renewable energy in the generation-mix to 75 percent from the current 61.8 percent, which will require adding over 1,800 MW of generation capacity from solar, wind, geothermal, and hydro. Significant mobilization of public- and private-sector financing is targeted in order to create a favorable investment climate, strengthen local capacities through training, and establish robust data collection systems for informed energy-planning and decision-making

Renewable Energy Policy Statement
In 1993, the Government released its Renewable Energy Policy Statement. Its key objective is to ensure "the continuing availability of energy services at the lowest cost to the economy as a whole consistent with sustainable development." At the time, there were no specific quantitative targets or plans for future renewable energy use in New Zealand. However, recent government forecasts, based on the target of 30 PJ in the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy, indicate that renewable energy supply will increase by around a fifth in 2010 compared with 1996, mainly due to increased electricity generation from wind, combustible renewables…

Better Buildings Initiative
The Better Buildings Initiative was launched in 2011 by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate investment in the most promising technical solutions for improving buildings efficiency and share successful best practices among leaders in the public and private sectors. Still in 2017, the residential and commercial sectors together consumed 488 Mtoe, or 32% of total final energy consumption (TFC) in the country. The initiative helps owners and operators to learn about technologies, run demonstrations, network with peers and set ambitious targets, e.g. through the Better Buildings Challenge. It works with the national labs to test and…

This negotiated agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency is a framework action package, including a package of some 160 measures and actions to be implemented by the participating parties. A Standing committee with representatives of the group of parties is responsible for checking progress. Signatories to the Agreement share responsibility and commitment to achieve overarching objectives, average energy efficiency saving of 1.5% per year (adding up to a reduction of 100 PJ by 2020), 14% share renewable energy in total consumption by 2020 (16% by 2023) and creating at least 15.000 additional jobs " -

Strategy for Intensifying Wind Energy Development Report
In July 2000, the Renewable Energy Strategy Group published a report "Strategy for Intensifying Wind Energy Deployment" examining the aspects of, and constraints to, further development of wind energy in Ireland. The strategy recommended is designed to meet the targets set for the deployment of renewable energy at least cost, and focuses on three key elements: electricity markets, electricity networks and spatial planning. The aim is to secure an additional 500 MW of renewable-energy-based electricity-generating capacity by 2005.
