Facility for Low Carbon Technology Development (FLCTD)
The Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) is jointly implemented by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). FLCTD is supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
This 5-year project aims to promote innovation of low-carbon technologies and its deployment in industrial and other related sectors of Indian economy. FLCTD conducts annual 'Innovation Challenge' competitions that will identify innovative low carbon technologies and solutions to improve efficient end-use of energy with a focus on waste heat recovery, space cooling, and pumps and pumping systems. Winning technologies will be provided… -

Long-Duration Energy Storage US DOE portofolio
The Long-Duration Energy Storage portfolio helps to advance Long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems toward widespread commercial deployment. The goal of this portfolio is to fund projects that will overcome the technical and institutional barriers that exist for deployment, with a focus on different technology types for a diverse set of regions, with different programs (Long-Duration Energy Storage Demonstrations Program, DOE/DOD Long-Duration Energy Storage Joint Program, Long-Duration Energy Storage Pilot Program (The project was launched in 2024 with an initial budget of USD 100 million), etc.)

Strategic Action Plan for Energy Development (2014 - 2020)
This strategy plan puts forward energy conservation as a priority in the power, industrial, building, and transport sectors.1. Power: By 2020, the annual primary energy consumption will be capped at 4.8 billion tons of standard coal equivalent, with the coal consumption limited to around 4.2 billion tons. The coal power plants with the capacity of over 600 MW are required to achieve the efficiency target of 300g of coal equivalent/kWh by 2020.2. Building: The implementation of a higher national building energy efficiency standard will be accelerated, requiring a combined 75% improvement in energy efficiency compared…
