Blueprint of National Energy Management (2005-2025)
The 2005-2025 National Energy Blueprint identifies short- and long-term development objectives in the electricity sector. In addition to targets on increasing electrification levels, infrastructure expansion, reduction of subsidies and improvement in efficiency, the Blueprint establishes targets for electricity production from various renewable energy sources.
Targets:
The target is set at 15% of the countrys electricity demand by 2025 to come from renewable energy sources.
Specific targets for energy production from various renewable energy sources are established as follows:
Geothermal: 9 500 MW;
Small-scale hydropower: 500 MW (on grid) 330 MW (off grid);
Solar energy: 80 MW;

National Renewable Action Plan of Lebanon (NREAP 2016-2020)
…Renewable Energy Sector in the country. The strategy presents several scenarios for achieving 12% by 2020, target in 2009. The target is set to implement Renewable Energy projects that would actually produce approximately 767 kilotonnes of oil equivalent (ktoe) in 2020, equivalent to 12% of the projected total electricity and heating demand in Lebanon during that year.
Three main paths are considered to be developed in order to reach the target. Wind energy for electricity production would represent one major milestone with a projected share of 2.06% of the total Lebanese demand for Energy in 2020. Solar energy… -

Resolution No. 103: State Program "Energy Saving" for 2021-2025
The State Programme "Energy Saving" (2021-2025) aims to reduce hydrocarbon dependence, enhance energy efficiency, and strengthen national energy security. Primary goals include restraining gross energy consumption and maximizing the use of domestic resources and renewables (RES). Key 2026 targets involve reducing GDP energy intensity by at least 7% compared to 2020 and achieving savings of 2.5-3.0 million tons of equivalent fuel. Additionally, the programme seeks to maintain a local energy share of at least 16.1% and increase the RES share to 7-8%. Implementation focuses on industrial modernization and expanding renewable infrastructure.
