Climate Action Plan 2021–2030
Norway's comprehensive climate action plan was presented/published on the 8th of January 2021 to meet climate targets under the Paris Agreement and promote green growth. The government presented a plan to reduce emissions in all sectors. Norway has entered into an agreement with the EU to take part in EU climate legislation for the period 2021-2030. The climate cooperation covers the EU Emission Trading System (EU ETS), the Effort Sharing Regulation for non-ETS emissions (ESR), and the Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) Regulation. Canadian Emissions Reduction Innovation Network (CERIN)
The Canadian Emissions Reduction Innovation Network (CERIN) is a collaborative initiative jointly funded by Natural Resources Canada, contributing $6 million, and Alberta Innovates, contributing $4.26 million. CERIN is a pan-Canadian network of researchers and end-users to develop, validate, and deploy technologies to reduce methane emissions in the oil and gas sector. The program brings together academia, government and industry test centres, including a fully operational natural gas testing facility, to accelerate technological development and inform protocols and standards for the detection and mitigation of methane emissions.
