Directive No 3 of June 14, 2007 - Economy and thrift are the main factors of the economic security of the state
Directive n°3 on Economy Thrift of 14 June 2007 outlines that deployment of renewable energy sources is of crucial importance for the economic security of the country. Authorities are obliged to support deployment of local renewable and alternative sources. Officials’ performance will be judged on the basis of inter alia on the growth of renewables in sectors or regions that they are responsible for.
The directive targets 28% decrease in energy intensity of GDP over 2010-2015 (to 0.2 toe/1000 USD ppp) -

National Survey on Energetic Consumption in Private Households (2018)
The Secretariat of Energy (SENER) and The Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE), with the collaboration and support of the National Institute for Statistics (INEGI), developed the first National Survey for Energy Consumption in the Household Sector (ENCEVI).
The survey was intended to generate statistical information about the use patterns of various energy sources at the residential level, so as to get data about their management. The instrument was applied in the first, second and fourth trimester in 2018. First results were published in November 2018. -
