Law on State Stocks of Petroleum Products and Oil
The Law on Stocks includes secondary legislation regarding procedures to respond to an oil supply disruption, and on maintaining oil emergency stocks. The stockholding obligation set on industry is calculated each year, based on Lithuania’s total 90-day net import obligation minus the 30 days of consumption of specific stocks held by the Lithuanian Energy Agency. It was last amended in 2020.

Danish Gas Supply Act
The Act gives the Minister the authority to implement gas emergency measures to handle supply disruptions during a crisis. Specifically, Section 23 a allows the Minister to set rules regarding defining protected customer groups and requiring companies to share relevant information with authorities. Furthermore, Section 15 mandates that concessioned companies and Energinet plan and take measures to ensure gas supply in emergencies, with Energinet handling overall coordination.

Law on oil and oil products reserves
This law regulates the creation, storage, renewal, use and restoration of emergency stocks of oil and oil products and target stocks of oil products, as well as introduces the necessary procedures for overcoming a possible serious shortage. The State Agency "State Reserve and Wartime Stocks" and energy enterprises are responsible for creation and mantainance of the stocks.

Germany's 2nd Amendment to the Building Energy Act (GEG) - phase-out of fossil fuels
In 2023, German Federal Government approved amendments to the Building Energy Act for new heating systems to use at least 65% renewable energy from 2024 onwards and for fossil fuels to phase out from heating by Jan 2045 in line with its climate-neutrality target.The ban will initially apply to new buildings, existing buildings will still allow a gas system until the deadline for municipalities to submit a heat plan (2026 for large cities and 2028 for towns). Regulation No 994/2010 concerning measures to safeguard security of gas supply
This Regulation establishes provisions aimed at safeguarding the security of gas supply by ensuring the proper and continuous functioning of the internal market in natural gas. It mandates EU member states to set a preventive and emergency plan of market and non-market based measures to limit gas demand in case of emergency, along with strenghtened regional cooperation between countries.

Investment on Critical Raw Minerals
The German government announced of its plan to invest €1 billion on raw materials to reduce its dependencies on other countries such as China. The investment will go towards raw materials extraction, processing and recycling. The budget, to be valid for 4 years from 2024 onwards, has been approved by the Federal government. Renewable Energy Directive - National transposition for industry
…and Climate Protection (BMWK) decided that the RFNBO industrial targets (from the Renewable Energy Directive revision) will not be passed on to individual companies and instead Germany will aim to achieve the binding targets through a combination of subsidy measures targeting the demand side.
