Romania makes formal request to join the IEA as a Member country

Denmark plans to build two world-first "energy islands" with a minimum capacity of 4 GW to convert low-carbon electricity into green hydrogen and synthetic fuels, supporting its 2050 carbon neutrality goal. One of the islands, located in the North Sea, will be co-owned by the government and private partners, with strategic collaborations involving Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
