Biofuels Research to Reduce Transportation Emissions
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced USD 61.4 million of funding for the production of low-cost, low-carbon biofuels that will power heavy-duty vehicles currently hard to electrify. The "Bioenergy Technologies Office Scale-Up and Conversion” funding opportunity includes high-impact biotechnology research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) to bolster the body of scientific and engineering knowledge needed to produce low-carbon biofuels at lower cost. The EU Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programmes for the demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies. It aims to deploy innovative net-zero technologies for climate neutrality through project funding.
