Renewable Energy for Heating and Cooling and Small Interventions Increasing Energy Efficiency Support Scheme (Conto Termico 2.0)
Conto Termico 2.0, in force since May 31st 2016, strengthens and simplifies the support mechanism already introduced by the MD December 28th 2012, which encourages measures to increase energy efficiency and the production of thermal energy from RE. The total annual budget is up to 900 million euro of which 200 for public administrations projects and 700 million euro for the private initiatives. Once this cap will be reached, program will be closed for new applications. If not reached, cap will be modified after 2 years since entering of the scheme into force. The mechanism responsible for the management…

Housing Energy Performance diagnosis (DPE) revision
Provided for by the ELAN law promulgated in 2018, the revised energy performance diagnosis (DPE) will come into force on 1 July 2021. The DPE provides information on the energy performance of a dwelling and, in particular, guides choices in terms of renovation work. The revision of the energy performance diagnosis takes into account a unified calculation method and more readable indicators (from A to G). It also takes into account the double energy-carbon threshold to determine energy labels. The policy is part of the French Plan France Relance to improve building's energy performance and upgrade overall standards…

Bioenergy - RD&D Programme
The main objective of the BIOENERGY programme was to develop new technology solutions for biomass fuels. The BIOENERGY research programme resulted in three new final harvest methods already in commercial usage: the MOHA chipper lorry, CHIPSET chipharvester and EVOLUTION multi-purpose chipharvester. The equipment fulfils the cost objective of the programme in short-distance transportation: fuel now costs FIM 45/MWh. Thanks to the techniques developed in the programme, and lower taxation, the competitiveness of wood for energy has improved substantially. The experiences gained and technological developments, which have lowered production costs and improved profitability, have also improved the operations…

ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat Program
ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat was a CAD 36-million programme that run from April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2011. It was designed to encourage the use of Renewable thermal technologies, specifically energy efficient active solar thermal equipment used for space (i.e. air) heating and cooling and water heating.
There were three distinct activities under the ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat programme - Commercial Deployment incentives, Residential Pilot Projects and Industry Capacity Building. Under the Commercial Deployment activity, almost 500 applications for thermal heat solar systems have been approved which will receive a grant ranging from CAD 2,000 to CAD… -

The Value of Demand Flexibility: Benefits beyond balancing
Background information This webinar will present the key findings of the IEA policy brief: The Value of Demand Flexibility: Benefits beyond balancing, developed under the Digital Demand-Driven Electricity Networks (3DEN) Initiative, an inter-agency collaboration between the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and the United Nations Environment Programme. As electricity demand rises and power systems become more decentralised and renewable-rich, and electrified in this ‘Age of Electricity’, managing when and how electricity is used is increasingly as important as expanding supply.Demand flexibility, the ability to adjust electricity consumption in response…
