81 actions across 18 lines of action aiming to promote renewable hydrogen. Responsible institutions are defined for each action. KPIs, related to the 177 milestones within the actions, are meant to be defined as part of the follow-up to the action plan but not defined yet in the document. By May 2025, all 18 lines of action have begun implementation, and 19% of the 177 milestones had been completed

Oil Market Report – May 2026

Background information The IEA's monthly Oil Market Report (OMR) is the exclusive source for official government statistics from all OECD countries, as well as selected non-OECD countries, together with both historical datasets and supply-and-demand forecasts for the year ahead.Featuring tables, graphs and statistics, the OMR provides all the data necessary to perform ad-hoc analysis and track oil market developments and to identify trends in production, consumption, refining, inventories in OECD countries and prices for both crude and products. The OMR is a subscription service, released around the middle of each month. Read the highlights…

…use of energy in the production, transportation and distribution, storage and consumption of energy, attempting to achieve the highest sustainable development with the available technologies, minimising the environmental impact and optimising energy conservation and cost reduction. The program covers several policy areas including short-term policies: focusing on education and awareness on energy consumption, lamp replacement in households, increasing energy efficiency of appliances; and long-term policies: focusing on industry, commerce, buildings, cogeneration, public lighting and transport. Several sub-programs have been developed according to each sector. The program aims to decrease electricity consumption by 6% and energy savings of…

                Energy Saving Action Plan

The Energy Saving Action Plan focuses on the penetration of renewables, energy efficiency improvements, energy efficiency labelling and education, information, and technology innovation. It is unclear to what extent the objectives of the Programme have been achieved. According to critics, in general performance has been poor, attributed to a lack of co-ordination among the institutions involved, limitations to the application of DSM by utilities, problems with enforcing building standards, a lack of awareness campaigns to accompany the introduction of labels, and a lack of substantial incentives for renewable energy.

                2050 Net-Zero Roadmap

The Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has released a roadmap to achieve net-zero emissions in the energy sector by 2050, centred around solar power but adaptable to future technological shifts. It presents three scenarios: one where rapid advances make solar energy even cheaper and more efficient, potentially reaching a PV capacity of 108 GW; another where hydrogen technology matures and plays a key role; and a third in which the country embraces nuclear power. Each path reflects different trajectories based on policy choices and innovation.
