…High cybersecurity standards under the international CC framework ensure the resilience and safety of critical energy data communications. The Act was comprehensively overhauled in 2023 so as to expedite the deployment and further reduce buerocratic obstacles to digitalisation. Under the present framework, around 28 million metering points will be equipped with smart meters until 2030 with another 30 million metering points which can optionally upgrade to a smart meter.
