Electric Vehicle Industry Roadmap
The roadmap, developed by the Department of Trade and Industry, seek to promote the establishment of a domestic EVs industry. Thus, GHG emissions shall be mitigated and further investments and job creation in the automotive industry shall be promoted.This aims to be achieved through a number of strategic interventions including but not limited to: demand stimulation;public education; investment support;accommodative regulatory framework. Manufacturers producing a minimum of 5,000 volumes annually in South Africa were qualified for a 35% cash-back in investment incentive.

National Strategy for GHG emissions
The first programme ( "National programme for the containment of carbon dioxide emissions") was approved in 1994 with the aim to stabilize CO2 emissions by 2000 at 1990 level.Afterwards the programme was enhanced and updated (CIPE deliberations of 1997 and 1998) and in 2002, when the Kyoto Protocol was ratified, an overall national strategy to meet the Kyoto Protocol target was approved (CIPE deliberation 123/2002). The financial support and legislative instruments to implement the strategy are identified through the Financial Law and allocated at the central and localbodies on the basis of the respective competences.

Australian National Low Emission Coal Research and Development initiative (ANCLER&D)

Carbon credit revenues to fund hydrogen projects
India is exploring the sale of Internationally Transferrable Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs) under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement to help bridge the cost gap between renewable hydrogen and hydrogen from unabated gas. By February 2025, no bilateral agreements had been signed, and details on funding or capacity remained unclear. Hydrogen and ammonia are among 14 eligible activities.
