Energy Concept
…renovation to upgrade energy performance is to be doubled from current levels, from 1% to 2% per year. The Energy Concept contains a wide variety of specific measures to meet these targets. - On top of this, there is an immediate action programme consisting of ten especially urgent measures. The immediate action programme focuses in particular on the expansion of offshore wind power and the expansion/upgrading of power grids. Every 3 years, starting in 2013, the Federal Government will carry out a scientifically grounded monitoring process to review the implementation status of the Energy Concept. Furthermore, the Energy Concept contains…

Recovery and resilience plan / CTD / Energy efficiency in buildings/ Resource efficiency program in public administration 2030 (ECO.AP 2030)
…efficiency program in public administration was nationally approved in November 2020. It is part of the component 13, energy efficiency in buildings, from the Climate Transition pillar of the recovery plan. The program sets the following targets for 2030: - 40% reduction in primary energy consumption- 10% of the energy consumption supplied by renewable self-consumption sources- 20% reduction in water consumption- 20% material reduction- Achieve an energy and water renovation rate of 5% in buildings covered by ECO.AP The entities covered by this program have to elaborate every three years from 2021 an efficiency plan that helps achieve these targets.

Energy Efficiency Strategy of the Republic of South Africa
The NEES outlined how an overall energy intensity reduction target of 12% by 2015 could be achieved with the following sectoral energy efficiency improvement targets. The Implementation plans were drawn up for each of the sectors with forecasted targets of energy use reductions based upon assumptions about energy demand over the next 10 years (2005 – 2015 using the 2000 year baselines), including the associated drivers, such as the economic development and population growth.
