                Proposed in the 2022 British Energy Security Strategy, with consultation ending in Feb 2024. No update published by mid-Nov 2024.

                HTBM: For large-scale onshore hydrogen pipelines. Combines revenue support and Regulated Asset Base. Final design expected in 2025. First round aims for infrastructure in operation or construction by 2030.

                HSBM: For geological hydrogen storage (e.g. salt caverns). Uses a Cap and Floor model. Final design expected in 2025, targeting up to two projects by 2030.

                Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Automated On-Road Vehicles (NEXTCAR) program

                The U.S. Department of Energy announced $18 million in funding for four cutting-edge projects that will help passenger vehicles operate more efficiently, reduce energy consumption, and contribute to the Biden Administration’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. This funding is part of Phase II of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy’s (ARPA-E) Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Automated On-Road Vehicles (NEXTCAR) program.

                Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (2023-2050)

                The increased penetration of RES will constitute one of the most important objectives reaching 33.6% share in the gross final energy consumption. New capacities will be installed by 2030 and the increase of the share from 30% in 2021 to 45% in 2030.
