The information systems in the energy sector are classified as critical to national security and must undergo strict cybersecurity assessments, audits, and monitoring. Operators must coordinate with the Cybersecurity Task Force (CTF) for compliance and incident response. Service providers also have legal duties to support cybersecurity enforcement.

National Energy Plan (2015-2030)
The Plan defines energy efficiency and distributed electricity generation as priorities for action and calls for the renewal of the vehicle fleet to include low emissions technologies, the promotion of sustainable public transport and the mainstreaming of clean fuels, in particular biofuels. The Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Improvement Action Programme stresses the need to strengthen information on energy savings in the educational system, to support advisory networks and consumer offices and to spread widely advertisements, brochures for consumers and media campaigns to encourage consumers to save energy. The widespread use of energy efficiency labelling is also recommended.
