                CO2 Tax on Stationary Fuels

                In March 2007, the Swiss parliament approved a tax on CO2 emissions from stationary fuels, levied on heating and process fuels. The tax came into force on 1 Janaury 2008. The tax of CHF 12 per tCO2 equials CHF 0.03 per litre of heating oil and CHF 0.025 per m3 of natural gas. The tax may be increased in the following years depending on progress towards emissions reductions. The tax is revenue neutral; revenues are redistributed to employers in accordance with wages paid and to the population on a per-capita basis. Revenues are expected to reach approximately…

                GB 20665-2015- MEPS for Domestic Gas Instantaneous Water Heaters and Gas Fired Heating and Hot Water Combi-Boilers

                The standards specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, energy efficiency grades, energy conservation evaluation value,test methods and inspection rules for domestic gas instantaneous water heater, and gas fired heating and hot water combi-boilers.
                 
                The standard is only applicable to water heaters and gas-powered heating furnaces up to 70kW.

                Clean Growth Strategy - Oil, LPG and coal boilers phase-out

                The United Kingdom initially aimed at phasing out the installation of oil, LPG and coal heating systems in new and existing off-gas-grid homes during the 2020s, with the goal of all heating systems to be low-carbon by 2050.Support for new LPG and oil heating systems was removed from 2022 onwards, but the sales ban was delayed to 2035 in September 2023.

                Boilers and stoves using wood, coal or fuel oil need a certificate based on a test of heat efficiency. The heat efficiency certificates are issued jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Turkish Standards Institute. Products not having this certificate cannot be marketed.
