Oil to Heat Pump Affordability (OHPA) program
Canada's Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program was launched under the umbrella of the Canada Greener Initiative to help low- to median- income homeowners who are currently heating their homes with oil, transition to eligible heat pump systems. The USD 547 million (CAN 750 million) programme incentivises homeowners to receive upfront funding for the purchase and installation of a new electric heat pump, along with necessary ancillary measures, such as electrical upgrades, safe removal of an oil tank, or the replacement of other oil-dependent systems, like a water heater (where applicable). Individual Metering
Based on Royal Decree 1751/1998 of 31 July 1998 referring to the Regulation of Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE), the guidelines of the SAVE Directive referring to the Valuing of Energy Consumption for Heating, Air Conditioning and Hot Water and of Periodic Boiler Inspections, have been incorporated into Spanish legislation.

National Plan 2021-30: Replacing boilers with more efficient technologies
The measures set out in the National Plan are aimed at achieving the main target: by 2030, 50,000 domestic boilers will be replaced in households and other heat efficiency improvement measures will be implemented, resulting in savings of at least 200 GWh per year or 11 TWh by 2030. The plan is to upgrade 5,000 boilers in households annually. This measure will compensate up to 50% of the costs of replacing inefficient individual boilers with individual boilers using more efficient technologies for households not connected to the district heating system.
