Flaring operations imperatively required for safety reasons are not subject to a request for prior authorization for gas flaring. Chongqing gas subsidy scheme
The Chongqing municipality implemented a targeted energy subsidy scheme for SMEs and individual businesses, in the form of a minimum 5% support rate for gas bills for May and June 2022. The scheme excludes high energy consumption companies, companies using gas as major production resources, gas-fired power plants, gas suppliers, and CNG gas stations, while some sectors (hotels and restauration, culture and tourism, transports, wholesales and retail, and other service industries) are prioritised as beneficiaries.

This Regulation establishes provisions aimed at safeguarding the security of gas supply by ensuring the proper and continuous functioning of the internal market in natural gas. It mandates EU member states to set a preventive and emergency plan of market and non-market based measures to limit gas demand in case of emergency, along with strenghtened regional cooperation between countries.

Reduction and changes in natural gas transmission tariffs
In order to shield domestic consumers from the effects of the global energy crisis, the Natural Gas Economy Council of Israel lowered the transmission rates of the Natural Gas Routes Company (Natgaz) by 17.2%. The Council also introduced a new systemic tariff meant to finance the modernisation and decarbonisation of the domestic natural gas industry.Both tariff changes are expected to represent a cumulative cost reduction of 11% when passed on to final consumers.
