                Temporary decrease in sales tax rate on gas deliveries via natural gas network

                In order to shield domestic consumers from the effects of the global energy crisis, the German government enacted  a temporary reduction of the VAT rate on gas supplies from 19% to 7% (from 1 October 2022 until 31 March 2024), as well as a tax exemption on special payments of up to EUR 3,000 that employers provide employees to offset the effects of inflation.

                Reduction of wholesale gas price

                The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a decision on reduction of the wholesale price of natural gas by 12.53 percent. Following this decision natural gas distributors can sell natural gas at 0.866 KM/Sm³ as of 1 April 2023.

                Green Electricity Market

                The Green Electricity Market (GEM) was a voluntary, industry- owned market trading in "green electricity rights", set up with government funding under the Renewable Energy Commercialisation Program (RECP). GEM went live in July 2001 and provided an Internet-based portfolio management and trading platform for the Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). The goverce structure of GEM was founded on an industry self-governance and co-operation model. This allowed market participants to voluntarily determine, agree and enforce operational market rules independent of industry regulators.                 Outlines the administration and licensing of gas entities and promotes an energy efficiency program for gas retailers. Indirectly targets methane emissions through its safety and operations provisions that require best practice standards for gas fitting and minimisation of leaks and other hazards.

                Temporary reduction in the excise duties on petrol, diesel and marked gas oil

                Excise duty reduced 20 cent/litre of petrol and 15 cent/litre of diesel, with a 3.4 cent reduction on marked gas oil (MGO), and remain in place with effect from 10 March 2022.  The current reductions are VAT inclusive amounts of 4 cent,  3 cent and 1.7 cent per litre for petrol, diesel and MGO respectively and are due to be restored on 1 August 2024.

                (British Columbia) Drilling and Production Regulation (2021 updates)

                British Columbia's general upstream oil and gas regulation includes provisions that limit venting and flaring of methane, and require a fugitive emissions management program. The rule was initially promulgated in September 2010 (B.C. Reg. 282/2010) and amended in 2021 at last.Section 26 sets forth plugging requirements for abandoned wells.Section 41 prohibits venting unless the gas value, volume or flow is insufficient to support stable combustion and * is not a safety hazard, and * within 1 year of rig release, the quantity and duration of venting is minimised.Operators must check each well for surface casing vents…

                …Code de l’Énergie), operators of underground natural gas storage facilities must submit annual investment programs to the Energy Regulation Commission (Commission de Régulation de l’Énergie) for approval. This aims to ensure investments are in line with energy security objectives, a proper development of storage facilities, a transparent and non-discriminatory access for all users and the lowest possible costs for users.                 Green hydrogen auctions for mandatory purchase quota

                The Government of India is planning for green hydrogen auctions in mid 2021, taking forward the National Hydrogen Mission announced in february. Discussions with ministries of power, oil and gas, fertiliser, steel have been held for assessing purchase obligations of green hydrogen produced in the country.

                Natural gas supply and demand scheme 2020-2023

                In order to foster investment in the gas sector, the government of Argentina have developed a gas scheme covering the years 2020 to 2023. Objectives include: - Foster investment in natural gas by subsidising its price - Meet the need of hydrocarbons of the country and substitute gas imports- Retain jobs in the gas sector  The plan is expected to save thousands of jobs from the industry, and enable tax and currency saving from the drop in imports.
