Regulation for the Marketing of Liquid Fuels and Other Products Derived from Hydrocarbons
This regulations sets the global framework over marketing activities of liquid fuels and derived products. It notably includes an obligation to maintain minimum stocks for all liquid fuels for producers and wholesale distributors based on their average daily sales volume in the last six months.

Natural gas subsidy for consumers outside the regulated tariff system
In response to the global energy price crisis, the Portuguese government implemented a specific temporary support scheme subsiding gas prices for consumers that do not benefit from previously enacted measures targeted at low-level consumers returning to a regulated tariff system. Gas consumers whose annual consumption represents more than 10,000 m3 will get a direct discount of up to EUR 40 per MWh, until the end of January 2024.

Decree-Law No. 70/2022
This decree creates a strategic reserve of natural gas, and establishes requirements for measuring and reporting information to guarante the security of gas supply in the country. In this regard, the decree is added to the Decree 62/2020, which established the requirement of constituting security reserves.

Supplementary Notice of the Interim Administration: Measures for Special Funds of Renewable Energy Development
…regarding related subsidies. The supplementary notice supports the development of unconventional natural gas, including coalbed methane, coal mine methane, shale gas and tight gas. As of 2018, the standard subsidy was 0.3 Yuan/m3. Starting from 2019, subsidies will no longer be provided according to this fixed standard. In accordance with the principle of "grow more, subsidize more", for those who exceed the amount of extraction and utilization in the previous year, subsidies will be given in accordance with the degree of growth achieved. Furthermore, subsidies are 50% higher for gas produced during the heating season (November to February).
