In 2021, the government of British Colombia and Shell Canada are also providing 35 million CAD each for the creation of the Centre, set to launch in 2021. The centre will focus on clean fuels, renewable natural gas, low-carbon hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization and storage. The federal government's budget will be delivered through the NRCan's Energy Innovation Programme.
