National Energy and Climate Strategy of Finland for 2030

…reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

With minor exceptions, Finland will phase out the use of coal for energy. The share of transport biofuels will be increased to 30%, and an obligation to blend light fuel oil used in machinery and heating with 10% of bioliquids will be introduced. The minimum aim is to have 250,000 electric and 50,000 gas-powered vehicles on the roads. The electricity market will be developed at the regional and the European level. The flexibility of electricity demand and supply and, in general, system-level energy efficiency will be improved.

Ordinance (2015: 579) on support for promoting sustainable urban environments

…It is a total investment of SEK 700 billion and the largest railway investment in modern times. The plan covers major investments in both new construction and restoration and modernisation of existing infrastructure. The decision also covers significant investments in maritime transport infrastructure and roads. This is made possible due to the Government investing SEK 100 billion more than in the previous plan period.

The Government has set aside a total of SEK 12 billion during the plan period for urban environment agreements. This means that central government will co-finance municipal and regional investments in infrastructure for public transport…
