                …5.4 investment “Support for start-ups and venture capital active in the ecological transition”, with a financial endowment of 250 million euros in grants, is aimed at stimulating the growth of the Italian innovation ecosystem, with particular attention to the ecological transition sector, through direct and indirect venture capital investments.The investment involves the creation of a Green Transition Fund (GTF), managed by CDP Venture Capital SGR S.p.A. and endowed with 250 million euros. The GTF’s investment strategy is aimed at the sectors of renewables, circular economy, mobility, energy efficiency, waste disposal, energy storage and similar.

                In March 2025, the European Commission released an Industrial Action Plan for the European automotive sector, addressing the significant transformation and challenges faced by the industry.                 Support to electric vehicle procurement and charging infrastructure development

                The German Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) is investing EUR 20 million in the procurement of vehicles and the development of charging infrastructure as part of the electromobility funding guideline. A total of 86 projects are approved, 36 of them by municipalities and 50 by companies.  The funding is intended to support municipal and commercial fleets such as vehicle fleets, company cars, taxis, mobility and sharing services in an accelerated switch to alternative drives. It will also support the procurement of almost 250 charging points.

                National Recovery Plan

                The Czech National Recovery Plan is a strategic plan designed to tackle the economic crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade presented the National Recovery Plan: CZK 191 billion for digitization, smart energy and transport, decarbonisation, clean mobility, water, education, social services, science and health prevention.  CZK 179 billon comes from EU Recovery and Resilience Instrument (RRF) Grants.                 Center for Efficiency in Urban Sustainability – CESU/Teresina

                The Center for Efficiency in Urban Sustainability – CESU/Teresina is a pilot project designed to test climate technologies in urban environments. This unit evaluates company solutions before they are adopted for city modernization. Proposals for the program must address one of the designated themes: environment, health, integrated sanitation, energy, or mobility and accessibility.                 Mission-Centric Strategic Roadmap for Critical and Emerging Technologies

                The Mission-Centric Strategic Roadmap for Critical and Emerging Technologies identifies clear priorities for pan-government policies on R&D of strategic technologies to secure strategic advantages. It lists 16 key technologies where a fierce race for technological supremacy is taking place, including secondary batteries, advanced mobility, next-generation nuclear energy, advanced biotechnology, aerospace and marine technologies, and hydrogen. The roadmap also outlines mission strategies to be achieved by 2030 for these identified technologies, focusing on R&D investment milestones, international cooperation, talent acquisition, and improvement.

                The Green Paper on the Advancement of New Energy Vehicles establishes a clear policy foundation that will enable the country to coordinate a long-term strategy that will position South Africa at the forefront of advanced vehicle and vehicle component manufacturing. Its focus includes ensuring R&D investments are strategically targeted at activities likely to give South Africa a competitive advantage in the transition from the internal combustion engine to electro-mobility solutions.

                Recovery, transformation and resilience plan / Resilient infrastructures and ecosystems (II)

                The second pillar of Spain's Recovery and Resilience Plan includes a major effort for the modernisation, digitalization, security and sustainability of the transport system and its infrastructure focused around the following main components: Component 4: Ecosystems biodiversity conservation and restoration: EUR 1 642 million (2021-2023)Component 5: Coastal area and water resources preservation: EUR 2 091 million (2021-2023)Component 6: Sustainable, safe and connected mobility: EUR 6 667 million (2021-2023) The last component is focused on the development of the national and European railroad interconnections & logistics, and the digitalisation of the transport system.
