In early 2008, the environmental excise tax was raised by the Czech government, largely in keeping with the requirements for energy taxation set out in a 2003 European Union directive. “Away from oil and gas” programme in Austria
The financial incentive programme “away from oil and gas” supports individuals and businesses to change their space heating systems away from fossil fuels toward sustainable systems. About 600 000 households in Austria still use polluting oil-heating systems. The programme places a special emphasis on support for low-income households. For 20% of the lowest-income households, the programme added an extra support of EUR 100 million over the years 2021-22. Funding programme for energy-efficient cooling and air conditioning systems with non-halogenated refrigerants
Kälte-Klima-Richtlinie (vom 19.12.2018) The funding scheme is for investments in energy-efficient cooling and air conditioning systems which use non-halogenated refrigerant as well as for additional storage tanks for heat and cold. Small bonus funding is awarded, when the implementation of regenerative energy supply-systems (e.g. PV or solar heating) is done at the same time (without funding these systems themselves).
