                Clean Energy Transitions Programme 2020

Annual report 2020 Since the launch of the Clean Energy Transitions Programme (CETP) in late 2017, the IEA has significantly expanded its work to help accelerate energy transitions in major emerging economies. E4 Country Profile: Energy Efficiency Indonesia

…country would see a 75% increase in energy demand compared to today. The Efficient World Scenario could limit this growth to just 50% reducing energy consumption by 2 EJ with savings mainly coming from the buildings (38%) and industrial (35%) sectors, followed by the transport sector.  The cost effective measures incorporated in the EWS would also reduce CO2 emissions by 120 Mt CO2-eq by 2040 compared to expected trends and save households USD 7 billion due to reduced energy bills, as well as provide 26 million more families with access to clean cooking. The opportunities to increase energy effici...

                Fuel economy in Indonesia

Market profile and analysis of fuel consumption trends Just over 9 million light-duty vehicles (LDVs) were sold in Indonesia in 2019, with an average fuel consumption of 8.1 litres of gasoline equivalent per 100 kilometres (Lge/100 km). Despite having one of the lightest weighing LDV fleets in 2019, average fuel consumption in Indonesia is 13% above the global average. The relatively low average weight of new LDVs in Indonesia (1 276 kg in 2019) stems from a sales share for SUVs/pick-ups that is 21% below the global average. Nevertheless, sales shares of SUVs/pick-ups…
