In 2022, Cambodia's Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) shared its Power Development Masterplan (PDP) and National Energy Efficiency Policy (NEEP). These documents aim to set a long-term energy transition strategy in the power sector, combining policy reforms and project investments.USD 77 million are invested over the 2022-24 period, with support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund under ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility (ACGF), the Climate Investment Fund and Green Climate Fund.

Rural Electrification Fund's programmes
The Rural Electrification Fund (REF), established in 2004 to accelerate the development of rural electrification in Cambodia, has continued to deliver its programmes under collaboration of both government and external parties. Electricity price stabilisation & discounts
In an effort to cushion domestic consumers from the impact of the global energy crisis, the Cambodian government has been stabilising electricity price from 2022, compensating the State-owned Electricité du Cambodge utility for the financial loss incurred. US-Argentina Framework for an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment
In November 2025, the United States and Argentina concluded a Framework for an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment ("Framework") that seeks to strengthen the two countries' trade and investment relationship. As part of this Framework, Cambodia and the United States have agreed to certain measures regarding critical mineral supply chains. In particular, Argentina and the United States will cooperate to facilitate investment and trade in critical minerals. In addition, Argentina has agreed to take measures to encourage a more resource-efficient economy, including in the critical minerals sector.
