As Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Dr Fatih Birol (@fbirol) has positioned the IEA at the forefront of global efforts to advance a secure, affordable and sustainable energy system. Since taking office in 2015, he has modernised the Agency by broadening its energy security mandate beyond oil to include electricity, natural gas, renewables and critical minerals, strengthened the Agency's global leadership in clean energy transitions and expanded IEA membership to include major emerging countries. As a result, the IEA’s share of global energy demand coverage has increased from 40% to over 80%. Head of Renewable Integration and Secure Electricity. Pablo Hevia-Koch is the Head of Renewable Integration and Secure Electricity at the International Energy Agency (IEA). In this role, he oversees work on integration of renewables in power systems, electricity security, power grids, and electricity market design, focused on both emerging and established economies. An electrical engineer by training, he holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from the Technical University of Denmark.

Daniel Morris
Clean Energy Lead, Climate Investment Funds. As the Senior Climate Change Specialist and Clean Energy Lead, he works with the Climate Investment Funds’ partners to help deliver transformational change in the energy systems of developing countries.Daniel’s 12 years of experience in working to build economic and policy solutions to the climate crisis are also derived from his previous roles as an Advisor to the US Executive Director of the World Bank and as a Policy Analyst in the US Treasury. In the latter position, he helped to execute the agency’s responsibilities related to the United States’ climate and energy agenda. Daniel has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management, Political Economy of the Environment from the Bren School of Environmental Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Northern Arizona University.
